Sankashti Chaturthi is dedicated to Lord Ganesha and is observed on the fourth day (Chaturthi) of the Krishna Paksha (waning moon) every month. It is considered highly auspicious, especially when it falls on a Tuesday (known as Angarki Sankashti Chaturthi).
Pooja Vidhi (पूजा विधि)
1. Preparation (तैयारी)
- Wake up early, take a bath, and wear clean clothes.
- Clean the pooja area and place an idol or picture of Lord Ganesha on a clean platform.
- Observe a day-long fast (optional), consuming only fruits, milk, or vrat-friendly food.
2. Sankashti Chaturthi Pooja Steps (पूजा विधि)
A. Ganesh Ji’s Invocation (गणपति पूजन प्रारंभ)
- Light a diya (oil lamp) and incense sticks.
- Offer red flowers, durva grass (21 blades), sandalwood paste, and kumkum to Lord Ganesha.
- Offer modak, laddoo, coconut, and fruits as prasad.
B. Ganesh Mantra and Aarti
- Chant Ganesh Mantras such as:
- “Om Gan Ganapataye Namah” (ॐ गं गणपतये नमः)
- “Vakratunda Mahakaya Suryakoti Samaprabha”
- Recite or listen to the Sankashti Ganesh Stotra and Ganesh Chalisa.
- Perform Ganesh Aarti (Jai Ganesh Jai Ganesh Deva).
C. Moon Worship (चंद्र पूजा)
- The fast is traditionally broken after sighting the moon at night.
- Offer water (Arghya) to the moon while chanting:
“Om Chandraya Namah” (ॐ चंद्राय नमः) - Then, consume the prasad to complete the fast.
Significance of Sankashti Chaturthi
- Observing this vrat removes obstacles (Vighna Vinashak) and brings prosperity.
- Worshipping Ganesha on this day is believed to fulfill wishes and bring happiness.
संकष्टी चतुर्थी पूजा विधि (Sankashti Chaturthi Pooja Vidhi in Hindi)
संकष्टी चतुर्थी भगवान गणेश को समर्पित होती है और यह हर माह के कृष्ण पक्ष की चतुर्थी तिथि को मनाई जाती है। यदि यह मंगलवार को आती है, तो इसे अंगारकी संकष्टी चतुर्थी कहते हैं, जो विशेष रूप से शुभ मानी जाती है।
1. संकष्टी चतुर्थी पूजा की तैयारी
- प्रातः काल स्नान करके स्वच्छ वस्त्र धारण करें।
- पूजा स्थान को साफ करके वहाँ गणपति जी की मूर्ति या चित्र स्थापित करें।
- पूरे दिन व्रत रखें (फलाहार या केवल पानी ले सकते हैं)।
2. पूजा विधि (Pooja Vidhi)
A. गणपति पूजन प्रारंभ
- दीपक और अगरबत्ती जलाएँ।
- गणेश जी को कुमकुम, चंदन, अक्षत, लाल फूल, दूर्वा (21 तिनके) अर्पित करें।
- मोदक, लड्डू, नारियल, व फल का भोग लगाएँ।
B. गणेश मंत्र जाप व आरती
- गणेश जी के मंत्रों का जाप करें:
- “ॐ गं गणपतये नमः”
- “वक्रतुण्ड महाकाय सूर्यकोटि समप्रभः।
निर्विघ्नं कुरु मे देव सर्वकार्येषु सर्वदा॥”
- संकष्टी गणेश स्तोत्र या गणेश चालीसा का पाठ करें।
- गणेश जी की आरती करें:
- जय गणेश, जय गणेश, जय गणेश देवा।
C. चंद्र दर्शन और अर्घ्य
- रात्रि में चंद्रमा के दर्शन करने के बाद व्रत पूर्ण करें।
- चंद्रमा को अर्घ्य (पानी अर्पण) देते हुए मंत्र बोलें:
“ॐ चंद्राय नमः” - इसके बाद भगवान गणेश को प्रणाम करके प्रसाद ग्रहण करें।
3. संकष्टी चतुर्थी का महत्व
- यह व्रत सभी कष्टों और बाधाओं को दूर करता है।
- भगवान गणेश की कृपा से सुख, समृद्धि और सफलता प्राप्त होती है।
- संतान सुख, मानसिक शांति और आर्थिक उन्नति के लिए यह व्रत अति प्रभावशाली माना जाता है।
